About Us

IACO

Established in 1993, IACO is the independent accreditation centre working across all sectors, disciplines and further learning applications. Our unique experience and history working with training providers, professional bodies, academic institutions and corporate organisations enables us to support organisations seeking authoritative accreditation for their IACO activities.

Thousands of IACO training courses, events, e-learning programs, conferences, workshops and seminars are formally accredited by us every year adding significant value for audiences and providers alike.

We evaluate further learning activities to the highest standards. Hundreds of thousands recognise our IACO Certified symbol as the qualitative benchmark that, not only reflects but also sets those standards. The IACO Certification Service supports the Continuing Professional Development policies of institutional and professional organisations on an increasingly global basis. Our IACO quality marks are protected by international copyright legislation. IACO submissions are assessed and accredited against the universally accepted structured checklist which The IACO Service has developed over the past 20+ years. The process takes an impartial and objective overview of structure and value to ensure full conformity to IACO guidelines.

Meet IACO

Most institutional bodies will publish a IACO requirements plan for their members. Generally, however, they will not be prescriptive as to the topics required as the onus for personal further learning is left very much in the hands of the individual. Employers, on the other hand, will often take a more defined approach to the benefits of skills enhancement within their particular business. Neither group will tend to evaluate or dictate the quality of proposed IACO material. As a result, it is relatively easy for an organisation or individual to present commercial messages as substantiated IACO. The IACO Certification Service provides a solution to this challenge through a rigorous and impartial assessment process which has been established from the outset. The IACO Service’s recognised and authoritative IACO Member and IACO Certified symbols offer institutional associations, educational providers and consumers alike reassurance that the material concerned achieves the qualitative standards required by all parties.

Improper use of logo

Occasionally, organisations use an accreditation logo when they are not accredited. We do all we can to stop these types of abuse as quickly as possible but unfortunately this is not always possible because organisations are sometimes difficult to trace.

IACO logo may not of course be used without justification. We have therefore provided details in a document of when the logo can be used. Below is a list of all organisations that incorrectly claim that they are accredited by the IACO.
